Explore OutoftheBox: Sheffield, Fri 16th – Sat 17th October 2026

Our Explore OutoftheBox course takes place over two days. We playfully and creatively relax into stories together. The learning model is action-reflection with time to experience the approach, reflect on the experiences and to practise the art of OutoftheBox. The OutoftheBox approach will also be modelled in the learning process, drawing out the wisdom of the group to enable peer learning.

It will be led by Kate Caroe and Sarah Ducker. Kate is co-founder and Director of OutoftheBox. She has home educated her six children drawing inspiration from the educational philosophy of Charlotte Mason. She is also Chair of Trustees of Steel City Choristers, an independent choir in the cathedral tradition. Sarah is a Baptist Minister and a Formation Tutor for training ministers. She enjoys meeting with people of all ages to help individuals and groups move forward with wisdom, compassion and authenticity. She loves children, has researched children’s spirituality, and seeks to journey with children as fellow spiritual pilgrims.

We operate a pay-what-you-can-afford model. There are three different pricing bands. As well as our standard price, we have a more affordable Concessions price for anyone who needs it as well as a Supporter price, which is the opportunity to pay a bit more in support of those who need it and of the wider OutoftheBox movement.

Terms and conditions. I understand that my place on the course will only be confirmed once full payment has been received. I understand that if I wish to cancel more than 4 weeks before the training then I will receive a full refund, less £25 for admin costs. If I cancel less than 4 weeks before the start date then I will not receive a refund. However my place is transferable and I can arrange for someone else to take my place. I understand that if the course facilitators need to cancel the training I will be informed as soon as possible and will receive a  full refund – but travel expenses cannot be reimbursed (You may wish to take out insurance to cover this possible loss).
